WebEdit is a plugin for Notepad++, a well-known open-source free text editor. The plugin adds toolbar buttons for quickly inserting configurable HTML tag pairs. It also adds a keyboard shortcut (by default it's Alt+Enter) for expanding text templates, which can be helpful in any structured text editing, e.g. programming.

You can edit the plugin configuration directly in Notepad++, then select "Load Config" to apply the new settings without restarting the editor (you only need to restart if you want to add or rearrange the toolbar buttons).

The plugin source code is published on GitHub.

If you find any problems or would like to request a new feature, feel free to open an issue.

You may also create pull requests if you want to contribute code or suggest better default configurations for the next versions.

Select Edit Config from the plugin menu to open the configuration file for editing directly in Notepad++.
